2020
This year I was going a ton of places on the bus after I fell asleep at the wheel driving 75mph and totaled my car, and then I wasn’t going anywhere. I drew with a slow focus on the bus and lost a whole journal of drawings. I saved some here. I had some real breakthroughs in my spare bedroom studio when making sculptures during the endless time warp of quarantine.

These are scans of drawings made this year while I was primarily taking the bus to get around Kansas City, finding myself as the passenger in cars, and on airplanes. A lot.

This is the year everything changed drastically, from material to form. I was up all hours of the night pushing one kind of foam into another.
